How to Configure SAML 2.0 for Workato

1. Sign in to Workato as team owner.

2. Navigate to the TEAMS > Settings page, and do the following (see screen shot at end of step for reference):

   • Set Do you want to enable SAML based SSO? to Yes.

   • Team ID: Enter an ID by which to identify the team during login (no whitespaces or special characters; only letters, numbers, and dashes).

   • SAML Provider: Select Okta from the drop down menu.

   • Select Yes for Do you have your identity provider metadata URL?.

   • Metadata URL: Copy and paste the following:

     Sign into the Okta Admin dashboard to generate this value.

   • Click Validate settings, then click Save.

   

3. Done!

Notes:

IdP-initiated flows and SP-initiated flows are supported.

Just In Time (JIT) provisioning is not supported.

For SP-initiated Flows

Option 1:

1. Open the following URL: https://www.workato.com/saml/sso.

2. Enter the Workato team ID from the step 2 of these instructions.

3. Click Continue:

Option 2:

1. Login with your personal account.

2. Click on your profile link.

3. Click on the SAML-enabled team name under the SWITCH TEAM section:
