How to Configure SAML 2.0 for Ultimate Software Perception

  1. Save the following metadata as metadata.xml:

    Sign in to Okta Admin app to have this variable generated for you.
  2. Log in to Ultimate Software Perception as an administrator.

  3. Navigate to Account Menu > Account Settings.

  4. In the Account Settings section enter the following:

    • SSO Identity Provider: Select SAML 2.0:

  5. In the Configuration Settings section, enter the following:

    • SAML NameID Type: Select a required value. It can be EMAIL or EMPLOYEE_ID. In our example, we used EMAIL.

    • SSO Configuration Name: Enter a unique name. For example Okta SS01.

    • Identity Provider Name: Copy and paste the following:

      Sign into the Okta Admin dashboard to generate this value.

    • SAML Domain: Enter your email domain(s).

    • Optional: Check the Allow Access To Users Without Company Email box.

    • XML metadata file: Click Choose File to locate then upload the metadata.xml file you save in step 1.

    • Wait for the metadata.xml successfully uploaded message to appear.

    • Click Update.

  6. Done!

Notes:

IdP-initiated flows and SP-initiated flows are supported.

Just In Time (JIT) provisioning is not supported.

For SP-initiated Flows

  1. Open your login URL: https://[yourSubDomain].ultipro.com/sso.

  2. Enter your email address.

  3. Click Sign In.
