How to Configure SAML 2.0 for Squadcast

The Okta/Squadcast SAML integration currently supports the following features:

Configuration Steps

  1. Login to Squadcast as an administrator.

  2. Go to Extensions, then click Integrate SSO.

  3. Select Okta.

  4. Use the slider to Enable Single Sign-on(SSO).

  5. Click Show configuration guide for Okta.

  6. In the configuration guide:

    • Make a copy of the portion marked in red (below), this is your Customer ID value.

    • Scroll down and enter the following:

    • SAML 2.0 Endpoint: Copy and paste the following:

      Sign into the Okta Admin Dashboard to generate this variable.

    • X.509 Certificate: Copy and paste the following:

      Sign into the Okta Admin Dashboard to generate this variable.
    • Default New User Role: Select the role that will be assigned to a user during JIT.

    • Allow Account Owner or Admins to use email login: Check both these boxes.

    • Click Save:

  7. In Okta, select the Sign On tab for the Squadcast SAML app, then scroll down to the Advanced Sign-on Settings section.

    • Select your region from the drop-down list.

    • Enter your Customer ID value you made a copy of in step 6 into the corresponding field.

    • Click Save.

  8. Done!
