Supported Features

The Okta/Spotinst SAML integration currently supports the following features:

• SP-initiated SSO
• IdP-initiated SSO
• JIT (Just In Time) Provisioning

Configuration Steps

1. Login to your Spotinst account as an administrator.

2. Navigate to the Identity Providers tab:

   

3. Copy and save the following as metadata.xml:

   Sign in to Okta Admin app to have this variable generated for you.

4. Click BROWSE and locate and upload the metadata.xml file you just saved.

5. Make a copy of the Relay State value.

6. Click SUBMIT.

7. In Okta, select the Sign On tab for the Spotinst app, then click Edit.

   • Enter the Relay State value you copied earlier into the Default Relay State field.

   • Click Save.

   

8. Done!

Notes

The following SAML attributes are supported:

Name	Value
FirstName	user.firstName
LastName	user.lastName
Email	user.userName

SP-initiated SSO

1. Go to https://console.spotinst.com/#/auth/signIn.

2. Type your email address and click outside the form.
