How to Configure SAML 2.0 for Saba

Configuration Steps

  1. Log into your Saba environment with the admin account.

  2. Navigate to SYSTEM > SAML SSO Setup, then click SETUP SAML SSO.

  3. Select the required microsite, then click Add and Configure.

  4. Save the following metadata file as metadata.xml, then upload by clicking BROWSE, then IMPORT.

    Sign in to Okta Admin app to have this variable generated for you.

  5. On the Configure SP page select Basic, then click GENERATE.

  6. On the Configure Properties page set Enable SAML SSO to true, then click SAVE.

  7. Still on SAML SSO Setup page click on your SiteName. Make a copy of your Saba End Point URL value.

  8. In Okta, select the Sign On tab for the Saba SAML app, then click Edit:

    • Enter your Site Name value into the Default Relay State field.

    • Enter your Saba End Point URL value you made a copy of in step 7 above into the ACS URL field.

    • Enter your Alias value into the corresponding field.

      You get this value from your Saba End Point URL.

      For example, if your Saba End Point URL is https://acme.sabacloud.com/Saba/saml/SSO/alias/a1b2c3d4, then your Alias value is a1b2c3d4

    • Name ID value: Select either Username or Email as your Name ID format.

    • Click Save.

  9. Done!
