Supported Features

The Okta/Mind Tools SAML integration currently supports the following features:

• IdP-initiated SSO (through the Default Relay State, see step 4, below)
• SP-initiated SSO
• JIT (Just In Time) Provisioning

Configuration Steps

1. Contact the Mind Tools Support team and request that they enable SAML 2.0 for your organization. Also ask them to provide you with the Company ID value.

2. Include the following Metadata URL with your request:

   Sign into the Okta Admin dashboard to generate this value.

3. The Mind Tools Support team will process your request and provide you with the Company ID value.

4. [OPTIONAL: IdP-initiated SSO] In Okta, select the Sign On tab for the Mind Tools app, then click Edit.

   • Enter the following Default Relay State value into the corresponding field: https://www.mindtools.com/saml/[yourCompanyId]?u=[mindToolsResource]

     For example: If the Company ID value provided by Mind Tools is acme and you are going to login to the https://www.mindtools.com/community/index.php URL, then your Default Relay State value is:

     https://www.mindtools.com/saml/acme?u=community/index.php

   • Click Save.

   

5. Done!
