How to Configure SAML 2.0 for Konverse

For customers who added the Konverse SAML app before 25 January 2020:

Konverse is moving to new SAML endpoints. We made the change to the current SAML app. Go to the Migration Steps for more information.

Supported Features

The Okta/Konverse SAML integration currently supports the following features:

Configuration Steps

  1. Contact the Konverse Support team (support@konverse.com) and request that they enable SAML 2.0 for your account.

  2. Save, then attach the following Metadata file to your request:

    Sign into the Okta Admin dashboard to generate this value.

  3. The Konverse Support team will process your request and will provide you with SSO URL and SP Entity ID values. After receiving a confirmation email, you can start assigning people to the application.

  4. In Okta, select the Sign On tab for the Konverse app, then click Edit.

    • Enter the SSO URL and SP Entity ID values into the corresponding fields.

    • Click Save:

  5. Done!


Notes

The following SAML attributes are supported:


SP-initiated SSO

  1. Go to: https://[your-subdomain].konverse.com

  2. Enter your email then click Log In:

    go to https://[your-subdomain].konverse.com, enter email, click Log In


Migration Steps

Your General tab looked like as follows:

We hid the Base URL and Auth Source fields and added SSO URL and SP Entity ID fields on the Sign On tab.

Here are the migrations steps you need to follow:

  1. Contact the Konverse support team at support@konverse.com to get your new SSO URL and SP Entity ID values.

  2. In Okta select the Sign On tab for the Konverse SAML, then click Edit:

    • Remove your Default Relay State value.

    • Enter the SSO URL and SP Entity ID values provided to you by Konverse into the corresponding fields.

    • Click Save:

  3. Test your connection.

  4. Done!
