How to Configure SAML 2.0 for InsideView

The Okta/InsideView SAML integration currently supports the following features:

Configuration Steps

  1. Sign in to InsideView as a user with admin permissions.

  2. Navigate to Admin > Single Sign On Settings and select Add SAML. The screen shown below opens.

  3. Enter an STS Name. STS Name can be your CRM organization ID for the InsideView mashup or any other unique ID or name configured on the SAML self-service page. 
  4. Enter the following SamlP-WS-Fed Unsolicated EndPoint:

    Sign into the Okta Admin dashboard to generate this value.
  5. Enter the following STS Certificate:

     Sign into the Okta Admin dashboard to generate this value. 
  6. Enter the following Crm User Id Mapping:

    user_id
  7. Enter the following Crm User Id Mapping:

    user_id
  8. Enter the following Crm Org Id Mapping:

    org_id
  9. Enter the following Crm Email Mapping:

    email
  10. Enter the following Crm First Name Mapping:

    first_name
  11. Enter the following Crm lastName Mapping:

    last_name
  12. Select Save.
  13. In Okta, select the Sign On tab for the InsideView app, then click Edit.

    • Scroll down to the ADVANCED SIGN-ON SETTINGS section.

    • Enter the STS Name value (step 3) into the corresponding field.

    • Enter the Organization ID value to the corresponding field.

      Note: The Organization ID value must be unique across the CRM universe (online and on-premise, sandbox and production). It can be a GUID, installation license key, or even a DB primary key.

    • Click Save:

  14. Done!
