How to Configure SAML 2.0 for Dow Jones Factiva

Supported Features

The Okta/Dow Jones Factiva SAML integration currently supports the following features:

Configuration Steps

  1. Contact your Dow Jones Factiva relationship manager and request that they enable SAML 2.0 for your account. If you do not have contact details for a relationship manager, contact service@dowjones.com.

  2. Save the following as metadata.xml, and include it with your request.

    Sign in to Okta Admin app to have this variable generated for you.
  3. Dow Jones Factiva will notify you when SAML is enabled and will provide you with an Account ID, Company name, and Product ID.

  4. In Okta, select the Sign On tab for the Dow Jones Factiva app, then click Edit:

    • Enter the Account ID, Company Name, and Product ID provided by Dow Jones Factiva into the corresponding fields.

    • Click Save:

  5. Done!


Notes

The following SAML attributes are supported:

SP-initiated SSO

Use https://sso.dowjones.com/sp/startSSO.ping?PartnerIdpId=http://www.okta.com/[org.externalKey].

In the above URL, replace http://www.okta.com/[org.externalKey] with this value:
