How to Configure SAML 2.0 for DailyPay

Supported Features

The Okta/DailyPay SAML integration currently supports the following features:

  • IdP-initiated SSO
  • SP-initiated SSO

Configuration Steps

  1. Make a note of the last part from the IDP issuer below. This is your external key.

    For example if your IDP issuer value is http://www.okta.com/Abcd1234, your external key is Abcd1234.

    You will need this value for SP-initiated SSO.

    IdP issuer:

    Sign into the Okta Admin Dashboard to generate this variable.

  2. Contact the DailyPay Support team at support@dailypay.com and request that they enable SAML 2.0 for your organization.

  3. Include the following Metadata URL with your request:

    Sign into the Okta Admin dashboard to generate this value.

  4. The DailyPay Support team will process your request. After receiving a confirmation email, you can start assigning people to the application.

  5. Done!


Notes

The following SAML attributes are supported:

    Name Value
    firstname user.firstName
    lastname user.lastName
    email user.email
    provider_id org.externalKey

SP-initiated SSO

Open the following URL: https://www.dailypay.com/auth/saml/okta?okta_external_key=[externalKey].

Where [externalKey] is the value from step 1.
