How to Configure SAML 2.0 for BasicOps

Read this before you enable SAML

Enabling SAML will affect all users who use this application, which means that users will not be able to sign-in through their regular log-in page. They will only be able to access the app through the Okta service.

Backup URL

In case users need to sign-in using their regular username and password, they can use this BasicOps backup log-in url:

https://[yourSubdomain].basicops.com/?login.

Supported Features

The Okta/BasicOps SAML integration currently supports the following features:

IdP-initiated SSO
SP-initiated SSO

Configuration Steps

Sign into BasicOps as an administrator.
Navigate to Admin > Integrations.
Search for the SAML.
Click Add.

Enter the following:
- IdP Metadata XML: Copy and paste the following:

Sign in to Okta Admin app to have this variable generated for you.
```
- IdP Logout URL: Copy and paste the following:
  
  Sign into the Okta Admin Dashboard to generate this variable.
- Email Attribute: Enter Email.
- First Name Attribute: Enter FirstName.
- Last Name Attribute: Enter LastName.
- Click Submit.
Done!

Notes

Make sure that you entered the correct value in the Subdomain field under the General tab in Okta. Using the wrong value will prevent you from authenticating via SAML to BasicOps.

The following attributes are supported:
