How to Configure SAML 2.0 for AnswerHub

The Okta/AnswerHub SAML integration currently supports the following features:

Configuration Steps

  1. Login to your AnswerHub account.

  2. Make sure that the SAML Auth plugin is enabled on your AnswerHub server. Read the Enable the plugin section in AnswerHub's SSO Configuration with SAML plugin about how to check the plugin.

  3. Navigate to Admin > Users & Groups > SAML Setup.

  4. Follow the steps below:

    • IdP Login URL: Copy and paste the following:

      Sign in to the Okta Admin Dashboard to generate this variable.

    • IdP Logout URL: Copy and paste the following:

      Sign in to the Okta Admin Dashboard to generate this variable.

    • Select POST bindings.

    • Select emailAddress for the name identifier format.

    • X.509 certification: Copy and paste the following:

      Sign in to the Okta Admin Dashboard to generate this variable.
    • Click Save.

  5. Done!


Notes

Make sure that you entered the correct value in the Sub Domain field under the General tab in Okta. Using the wrong value will prevent you from authenticating via SAML to AnswerHub.
