Supported Features

The Okta/Butterfly SAML integration currently supports the following features:

• IdP-initiated SSO
• ISP-initiated SSO

Configuration Steps

1. Login to your Butterfly account as an administrator.

2. Navigate to Settings > Authentication.

3. Enter the following (see screen shot at end of step for reference):

   • SAML SSO URL: Copy and paste the following:

     Sign into the Okta Admin Dashboard to generate this variable.

   • Identity Provider Issuer: Copy and paste the following:

     Sign into the Okta Admin Dashboard to generate this variable.

   • Public Certificate: Copy and paste the following (PEM text format):

     Sign into the Okta Admin Dashboard to generate this variable.

   • Click Update settings:

   

4. Done!

Notes

• Make sure that you entered the correct value in the Subdomain field under the General tab in Okta. Using the wrong value will prevent you from authenticating via SAML to Butterfly.

• The following SAML attributes are supported:

  Name	Value
  email	user.userName

SP-initiated SSO

1. Go to https://[your-butterfly-subdomain].butterfly.ai/login.

2. Click Sign in with Okta.
